Remember When 2 By T.Torrest
10 STARS!

You know how sometimes, your high school crush grows up to be an insanely famous movie star? Okay, probably not. But I do. ~Layla Warren

Back in high school, Trip Wiley’s fanbase only encompassed the denizens of the nothing little suburb of Norman, New Jersey.

Ten years later, all that is about to change.

In the summer of 2000, Layla Warren is enjoying her career as a journalist in New York City (well, sort of), while Trip spends most of his time grabbing Hollywood by the balls. In the days before what will turn out to be his skyrocketing fame, they’ll find themselves confronted with some life-altering choices.

Remember When 2 is the second story in an NA romance trilogy. It will bring you back to that exuberant and riotous time of life in your twenties when you struggled to figure out your place in the world and the person you were meant to be…

…and the person you were meant to be with

Jeez, I really enjoyed this book a whole lot as you can see from my 10 stars up there (which is what I also rated the first in the trilogy Remember When). I am pretty hard to please when it comes to my books and for me to give something excessive stars - you have to know its amazing (at least that's what my friends say after I force them into something they didn't want to read and then end up loving it!) Remember When 2 is the second in the trilogy so make sure you read the first before you dive into this one otherwise you'll be super duper confused!

* I will also warn that RW2 DOES have a cliffhanger but don't freight because the third and final installment will be out soon! I guarantee you will fall in love with T.Torrest's characters and writing!

This book had me dealing with so many emotions! This story consumed me, it really took over my life while I was reading and even after. I felt sadness, happiness, nostalgia, jealousy, you name it, I felt it. There are only so many books that can give you this range of emotions. Layla and Trip have to be among one of MY favorite couples that I have ever read about. They're so real and I swear I can sense the love and desperation they have for each other. They were never an insta-love couple they are true "soul mates" in my eyes and this book just further proves that for me.

RW2 has a different feel than the first one being as it starts off ten years later. In the first Remember When, Layla was dealing with a lot of teenage issues. "Does he like me? Am I ugly? How can I get Trip to fall in love with me?" In this sequel it seems to hold a more serious tone since they are all grown up, but don't worry there is still plenty of humor! Torrest is one funny mamajama!

Layla Warren

Finally 10 years down the road Layla seems much more mature and grown up she has finished college has a mediocre job and *gasp* a fiancé (everybody booooo with me here)! She basically convinced herself that she is over Trip but well we all know that just isn't true.  Because really, do you ever forget your first love? It almost seems like she's just gliding through life not really being truly happy. I have to say Devin, her fiancé annoys the crap out of me to a point of no return. The fact Layla even slightly considers him as anything is beyond me. She really has truly lost her way over the years. She was slightly frustrating in this book preferably towards the end but I do understand where she was coming from, even if I didn't want to. Throughout RW2 we are taken through all her emotions, feelings, choices, and her angst. You can really feel everything and I totally empathized with her when she was worrying over Trip. You want to just jump right onto the pages and comfort her,cry with her or just plain old slap her silly when she thinks ludicrous thoughts!

"Trip Wilmington had been a gorgeous teenaged boy, no question. But Trip Wiley was a gorgeous young man exuding raw, unabashed sex at every turn."

Oh Trip, my love Trip "Chester" you drive me absolutely crazy but I still love you! Trip is still the hot and amazing caring person we met in RW but now he is older, sexy, and just gorgeous. I fall deeper and deeper into love with this NOW man every time he speaks. He is a lot more grown up now and you can really see is vulnerable side when it comes to Layla. When Layla and Trip finally re- connect, HOLY BALLS! It was electric, amazing, it was like they hand't been separated for 10 years. Basically these two characters are just perfect for each other. Both loving but infuriating but I did love every second of Layla and Trip no matter what was happening!

Throughout RW2 we still get some of the old characters and many new ones. Lisa is back, who is totally one of the best book best friends ever. Layla and Lisa's relationship is so like me and my friends! So I really felt their connection with each other as well. Those two are just hilarious together!

All in all, I could go on talking about this book forever it was really amazing. The writing, the characters, the plot, the humor, everything! This cliffhanger was a big doozy that makes me want to go into hibernation till RW3 comes out! My heart was broken/shattered in a billion pieces so I am REALLY looking forward to an epic final installment, which I know it will be!

Excerpt for Remember When 2: The Sequel

I slide a hand up his neck and start playing with the hair behind his ear. I’ve always loved that spot, and I know it’s the easiest way to turn him into putty, this beautiful man sitting on my couch. He leans his head into my hand as my palm flattens against the soft skin of his nape. He is looking at me intensely, those deadly blue eyes boring right through me, seeing into my soul like no one but him ever has. He quirks his lip and raises an eyebrow, and I feel my stomach drop. Trip was my high school sweetheart, and I am struck with how insane it is that he can still manage to stir such a reaction in me after all these years.
“What?” I ask. “What’s that look?”
His voice is sultry, his tone is teasing. “Layla, if you don’t know by now, you never will.”
“Know what?” I ask, the picture of complete innocence.
Trip knows that I’m full of it, but plays along anyway. “That look,” he starts in, sliding to lie down on the couch, “is me thinking about every dirty little thing I’m going to do to you. And you know it.”
   He’s right. I do.
“Hmmm. What might some of those things be?” I ask anyway, just to lead him on.
He is now laid out on the couch, with me half on top of him; my head resting on his abdomen, my hand splayed out across his chest. Trip reaches down and gets a grip on my elbows, guiding me to skootch up closer to his face.
Dear God. That face. It is unearthly beautiful, from his full, sensuous lips to the sandy gold hair tousled across his mischievous cobalt eyes. It should be illegal to look this good in public. He should be confined to a museum and never let out in real life. His looks are distracting. They could cause an accident one day.

Upcoming read : We Shouldn't by Vi Keeland

NOW A  NEW YORK TIMES ,  USA TODAY  &  WALL STREET JOURNAL  BESTSELLER! From  #1  New York Times  Bestseller Vi Keeland , comes a new, sexy  standalone  novel. Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning. I was late for the first day at my new job--a job I'd now have to compete for even though I'd already worked  eight years  to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She'd ticketed a long line of cars--except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine. Annoyed, I decided to  regift  my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine. Chances were, the owner would pay it and be none the wiser. Except, I  accidentally  broke the windshield wiper while slipping the ticket onto the car's window. Seriously, my day couldn't get any worse. Things started to perk up when I ran into a gorgeous man in the eleva
