This Year of Books So Far

So far this year in books I have to say I haven't been extremely successful, I have had more DNF's this year than any other year in my obsession of reading! I am trying to be more open minded but its getting to be really hard with a lot of these books. I have also stopped reading reviews before reading a book because then I have some preconceived notions that I shouldn't and it stops me from either reading the book in the first place or finishing it. Also from now on I will not be posting my DNF on the blog along with my fellow writers on here because I feel since I didn't finish it I don't know the entire story so it might defer other people from reading it when they might really enjoy it!

Current Read : The Hot Shot by Kristen Callahan

First we were friends. Then we were roommates. Now I want more… What can I say about Chess Copper? The woman is capable of bringing me to my knees. I know this about five minutes after getting naked for her. No one is more surprised than me. The prickly photographer my team hired to shoot our annual charity calendar isn’t my usual type. She’s defense to my offense, a challenge at every turn. But when I’m with her, all the regrets and darkness goes away. She makes life fun.
I want to know Chess, be close to her. Which is a bad idea.
Chess is looking for a relationship. I’ve never given a woman more than one night. But when fate leaves Chess without a home, I step up and offer her mine. We’re roommates now. Friends without benefits. But it’s getting harder to keep our hands off each other. And the longer we live together the more I realize she’s becoming my everything.
Trick is… Now that I’ve made her believe I’m a bad bet, how do I convince her to give this player a true shot at forever…

Currently Reading in Audiobook - Royally Matched

Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.
He’s not handling it well.
Hoping to help her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him "space"—but while the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:
Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.
A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world's most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.
While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.
The more Henry gets t…

Fifty Sahdes Darker Movie Review

So , this is one of Aℓℓ of our top favorite books ever and most definitely a top favorite of the three in the trilogy but this movie, i'm sorry, just didn't do it justice. The movie wasn't awful don't get me wrong, we Aℓℓ still watched it more than once in the movie theaters but it didn't catch the essence of what Darker was really suppose to be. They tried to fit so much so they forgot to have the big moments and climax actually mean something and have feeling behind it. The first hour or so was pretty good but the biggest disappointment was probably when Christian goes submissive, it was so sub par and no emotion, which I don't think was the actors fault at Aℓℓ as I believe they are both very good at playing these parts. It was the script for that scene. The book made my heart ache when this happens, it made me actually cry and feel horrible and like my heart was in two, in the movie people were laughing and they didn't even understand what was happening.…

Audio Books

For a long time I was kind of against Audibles because I don't know they just sounded a little ridiculous to me and I would just laugh at the voices that people were making. After my trip to BEA in 2016 on the way home since it was around 8-9 hours we decided to listen to one and this was my first one I had heard and when we finished I absolutely loved it! I am now addicted but I do like to hear samples first just in case the voice really isn't pleasant. I think everyone should try one once just let it go passed the first 30 minutes and I promise you won't care how weird it sounds!
