Ugly Love By Colleen Hoover
FIVE AMAZING BEAUTIFUL STARS
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.
It's been a long time since I have written a review but that's because I haven't wanted to, sure I've read really great books that I've loved in these past few months but just had no ambition to speak further about them other than to recommend them to others or not.
This book makes me want to write a review , I seriously can't stop thinking about it. I finished it some time ago and feel like I want to read it again already and let me assure you this has only happened with a handful of books, I'm pretty picky.
Let me be honest, I was petrified to read it, it was sitting on my kindle and I kept starring at it, I thought oh no this one is gonna be hard to read, I'm gonna hate it, it made me so nervous but I was sitting at school and it was calling to me.
Needless to say I have no clue what went on that day in class.
Colleen Hoover, I think you ruined me. I wish I read this sooner, actually I wish I could forget I read it so I could read it all over again. The way this book was written was perfect it goes from present in Tate's POV to the past in Miles POV - without giving anything away I loved the way the past was written, I couldn't make a connection with the other characters involved in his past, and I loved that and much rather preferred it that way.

I'll start with Tate, after I finished this book I read some reviews , some people think she is a spineless asshole who let's Miles walk all over her especially when it comes to a specific scene at the end, I beg to differ, I think she was strong and in LOVE, Sometimes I think people forget what it's like to be in love, should he have treated her better sometimes YES but he was in noway a bad guy , Miles had issues and A LOT of them! Tate handled herself so well. Was she weak? Yes. Was she stupid sometimes ? Sure. I think some people forget she's 23 (I'm 24 so I can relate, trust me were still foolish when it comes to love, no matter the age) Specifically in the scene some people spoke about, I actually understood why she did what she did, it might be a hard concept for some people to grasp. But I GOT it. I thought she was awesome the moment I was introduced to her!
Now Miles is obviously gorgeous, as every book man is but he also had a big heart which you could see in the flashbacks most, but you could definitely see it peeking out in the present, he tried to come off bad ass but I knew he was feeling just as he had felt in that first chapter of his that was written in the past. I liked him, I understood him and I felt sorry for him. What he went through I couldn't even imagine.
The only thing I would have liked to see was more of Tate and Miles when they finally got together, it was great, but I believe it was about 2 chapters or so that we really saw them together without all the hoopla and I would have liked to see more of them together and happy!
I really loved all of the side characters as well even nasty Dillion he was comical to me for being such a lowlife dirtbag. I especially LOVED Cap, man that guy was the best and sweetest little old man ever and funny I loved his jokes! Also loved Tate's brother and I'm hoping he'll find some love sometime soon too!
This story just really got me, I had all the feels , I even teared *gasp*, that doesn't happen often I assure you.
I believe everyone should read this amazing story !
**Now I see Nick Bateman will be playing Miles in the upcoming movie for Ugly Love, you probably don't know this but Mr. Bateman is the epitome of beauty and amazingness, he is MY Brad Pitt of the world and I can not express my happiness enough for him playing the part of Miles, which i think he's going to portray amazingly.
